A Paradox of Humanity

Some travel thousands of miles in search of food,
While others toil endlessly to shed the weight of excess.

Some yearn for eyes to witness daylight,
While others grumble over a fleeting moment of darkness.

We live in a world of insatiable desires,
Where spirits wander the streets in human guise,
Hollow, stripped of soul.
They carry within them the heart of brutes.

Confusion governs the order of the day,
The rich grow richer, the poor sink deeper,
The learned grow ever more ignorant.

Wisdom shrinks beneath folly’s rule.
The foolish mock the wise,

Glutted by their unquenchable desires,
they meet their end in the most unexpected way.

Ah yes! The Creator of all chooses the overlooked and the irrelevant
To humble the proud and teach swollen hearts humility.

Wisdom, unveiled to the simple, evades the self-proclaimed wise.

Did you know?
This world thrives on contradictions,
where rejection hums as its silent anthem.
